The Sinking City 2 sets sights on August release

Last month, Frogwares put out some feelers with previews, now a month later, the team has shared a new trailer for The Sinking City 2‘s official release date and a PC demo available now.

Shared during the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, the short trailer gives us an idea of what horrors we should expect as we take control of Calvin Rafferty in this Lovecraftian horror sequel set in 1920s Arkham. This ranges from beings — Slither — that reanimate corpses and are hellbent to “covert” you as well as Deep Ones, which pose more of a threat.

Interestingly, The Sinking City 2 will be more of a survival horror than its precursor. Of course, there are still puzzles to be solved, but ammo is scarce and sometimes the best thing to do is to just run away.

There will be a skill tree sort of thing as you uncover mysteries and help make your time in this hellhole a bit more tolerable.

The Sinking City 2 releases on August 18 to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
